Due to the unforeseen disasters of the year 2020, it is observed that the global environment is taking a speedy pace towards a clean and healthy energy future free of carbon emissions. According to this new change, 7 emerging energy technologies have been seen to evolve with challenges of climatic changes.
7 EMERGING ENERGY PROJECTS PROGRESSED TO CHANGE FUTURE OF ENERGY PRODUCTION
COMMONWEALTH FUSION SYSTEM (CFS) – FUSION POWER:
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has extended that the CFS claimed the abrupt production of energy (fusion power) which is capable to be shaped by humans as it is in their capacity to produce. Also, CFS expects the leading coalition of energy firms that may include Italian firm Eni (recently made it to the innovation pot worth $50 million investment). It is also observed by the CFS that a Fusion Plant is a new target to be achieved by the year 2035-40 as a new project. This Fusion Pilot Plant if set up properly can lead to many successes instantly such as the rapid decarbonization of energy production.
BLADELESS WIND TURBINES – VORTEX BLADELESS:
Vortex Bladeless is an initiative taken by the small Madrid-based company to manufacture a turbine with no rotating blades. It is believed that the turbine is likely to make movements with the flow of winds to generate electricity from vibration. As large wind turbines may become difficult to implement, on the other hand, Vortex Bladeless turbines are free of noise pollution, or dangers of wildlife and it is highly beneficial to use in terms of frequency and efficiency. The Madrid-based company has set its targets to produce approx. 100 to 200 kilowatts of energy which is likely to multiply in megawatts ahead in the future.
CARBON DIOXIDE CONCRETE MIXING – CARBON CURE:
In 2018, CarbonCure (Carbon Dioxide Concrete mixing) technology has seen immense success in its CO2 prospect. This pioneering technological solution helps to allocate the storage of CO2 where it will react with the calcium ions to form calcium carbonate. It is believed to make the concrete stronger. CarbonCure aims to accomplish the target to achieve 500 megatons as a result to reduce carbon emissions valued at 100 million cars.
